Meet the Owner
Katrina Carpenter / Owner-Lead Event Planner
Katrina founded BlueSky Events Studio in 2021 after years of planning events for her friends. Her own wedding planning experience was a perfect mix of stress, confusion, excitement and fun. Her experience taught her several important things: 1. having help planning your event makes things much easier, 2. choosing the right vendors is essential, 3. you don’t know what you don’t know so it’s good to have access to those who do, 4. there has to be a better way. Owning a venue of her own was really sparked after helping frinds plan baby showers, birthday parties and faux weddings (don’t ask). The uniqueness of the venue where she got married from the outdoor garden to the elegant staircase and lots of little gems inspired her to one day open a venue of her own.
It’s hard to pick a favorite event. Baby showers are very popular at the venue and the most beautiful confirmation that we made a clients dream come true is when they come back to host their child’s 1st birthday party. Weddings are just as big, couples choose us for everything from bridal showers to rehearsal dinners and micro-weddings. Katrina loves meeting with clients and planning the details of their event from ceremony start time, to color scheme to picking out dinnerware; she truly enjoys the background details and being able to create an amazing space for the perfect party.
She loves seeing the exictement on clients faces when they tour the venue for the first time and realize it is exactly what they wanted and more. The joy she feels when clients see the venue transformed just as they imagined is the reason she does it all.
In addition to serving as BlueSky Events Studio’s CEO, Katrina also owns BlueSky Moonwalks a party rental business where we bring the party to you.
